All About Amos
Amos Fayette has been playing the violin for three decades. The son of two music teachers, he has enjoyed a diverse career as a performer, educator, and music administrator. He has performed internationally as a soloist, requested substitute, and served as concertmaster with symphonies worldwide.
Amos attended the Manhattan School of Music, Juilliard, the Peabody Conservatory, and Bard College and obtained Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Violin Performance.
Following his passion to bring music to everyone, he relocated from the East Coast to Northeast Ohio in late 2021 where he was not only introduced to a true midwestern winter but also the amazing music scene this area has to offer.
Amos currently enjoys traveling and playing with several orchestras, ensembles, and solo performances as well as teaching both privately and with a couple of local non-profit organizations to help bring music lessons to a diverse group of players of all ages and abilities.
In addition to playing and teaching, Amos works as a consultant to help with sales, master classes, administration, program creation and management. His heart for spreading the power of music to all is endless!
In 2023 he published his first instructional work, Practice 101, which is now available in four formats and two languages and has been seen in classrooms and studios on two continents.
In 2025 Amos took his career to a new level when he and his wife launched Salon Strings, a boutique procurement firm designed to help match the perfect player with the perfect instrument and/or accessory.
